The city of the Vibologist Timothy Z, this is the first volume in a series of poetry and vibes about the once great little city called Youngstown, Ohio.

Stella and Stanley, a typical wife and her husband, working, raising kids, enjoying the American Dream...until Stanley begins to get other-worldly messages through his computer telling him of a world within the world he knows, a world of evil and discord and insanity, telling him that he and Stella might be the only two beings who can save the entire human species from enslavement and destruction. But what can one construction worker and one nurse do against such a monstrous evil? A lot, it turns out, considering the source of the message...
The Blues...music from the source of pain, born in the fields of slavery, migrating anywhere the children of slavery went and told their stories and legends in rhythm and rhyme. This poetry is an homage to those spirits who taught us that some things cannot die, no matter the maliciousness and vile intent of those seeking to destroy them. ;( Sadness, love and broken hearts, longing, pain, joy, sex and suffering, a buffet table of some tasty chords and some slow progressions to grind your mind to in the cosmic speakeasy.
"One child grows up to be somebody you just love to learn and another child grows up to be somebody you just love to burn..." These words from Sly and the Family Stone's 'FAMILY AFFAIR' aptly sum up the premise of RENAISSANCE IDIOT, two brothers from a Mid-West industrial city grow up to different destinies, but are both drawn in by the dawning drug and gang infestations of urban America. The tragic path of one brother determines the need not just for revenge, but for the redemption of a people and hope for future generations, taken on by the second brother. An instant classic.
A personal collection of pieces that were either performed in Columbus, Oiho at various open mic venues, were intended as part of the collective THE CHURCH OF THE ETERNAL VIBOLOGISM, or were just special to me as I was going through life on life's terms in Ohio's capital city.
This was intended as a 'thank you' to everyone who supports me and my work, from the social media friends and family I've met over the years to the people I've had the pleasure and honor of sharing venues and microphone time with. Most of these are performance pieces that never found their way to the sstage, but should have at some point or another.
This is my version of stripped down poetry. With a lot of new formats poetry tends to become very wordy and bloated as new poets see the art as objective, rather than subjective. This is an attempt to work within a more traditional framework, if not within pre-conceived forms, to get to the essence of the poetry itself. Not for the stage at all, in other words...
The NU HOTNESS is a collection of heart stories...from the work that goes into love to the pain of surviving heartbreak. It is about the conditions that make the heart of the mind go bump in the night and in the light of day. A good read for couples and for those who are just in a melancholy mood.
This was from a dark period in my life, a time of questioning people around me, of surviving the pain of want and need and growing from wounds that I didn't believe would ever heal. These are the heart songs of the survivors of emotion wars, and they are the other side of the NU HOTNESS, when you get too close to that fire and you get poetically burned...
...as soul food is the food of survival in its purest form, TWISTED SOUL FOOD is a collection of poetry about going through life and learning what it's all about, on an individual basis. It is a pot-luck of poetic reflections on the bone, feathers and gristle of life that at times must be braised, steamed and simmered to make palatable that which would otherwise make you kill. Not a bad early collection.
This is an epic poem, in the truest modernized sense of the term. Seven individuals, frozen in a moment in time on a summer dawn, meet the Son of God and argue the value of a world slowly sinking into its own destruction. From this poem so many stories have emerged, and so many stories continue to be born. An essential part of this collection, as it gives perspective to so many other books listed here.
